First Scotch & Cigar Dinner In The Books

Summer is always a crazy time for us here at The Brewster Inn. When weather is nice, we are easily one of the busiest restaurants in the Syracuse area.

But sometimes an event comes along that is so fun and fabulous that we just have to do it! That's why last Thursday amidst absolutely perfect weather we did our first ever themed dinner on the newly revamped bocce court / herb garden.

A selectively small group of 15 customers gathered at a family style table at 6:30PM to dine on a 5-course tasting menu that was perfectly paired with 5 scotches.

Leading the event was Rasmus, a scotch educator from Empire Merchants North who walked the group through the flavor profiles and tasting notes of each unique scotch. Guests were encouraged to ask questions and to explore each sampling to find their personal favorite.

Kirk Gibson, Co-Owner & Beverage Manager of The Brewster Inn was on hand to walk the group through each menu pairing. Starting with a tangy scallop ceviche to a smoky 5 spice encrusted tenderloin. The night was finished with a 95 point rated cigar from The Brewster Inn's own personal cellar.
