Plan Your Summerfest Weekend

From August 2 to August 4, 2024 we are so excited to celebrate Summerfest in Cazenovia. There is so much going on this weekend, and not enough time to fit it all in! In our humble opinion, here is how we would plan our weekend!

Friday, August 2nd:

We are kicking things off at the Madison County Distillery with live music from Southy’s Keys from 5PM-8PM. Come join us for some great food and local spirits. Bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy music and lawn games outside with the whole family. Suggested donation is $10 per person and 100% of the proceeds from the event will go to support more local events in Cazenovia.

Saturday, August 3rd:

Start your day with a leisurely stroll through the Cazenovia Farmers Market to see the local bounty of the region. Grab a coffee and breakfast at one of our many great breakfast spots - H.Grey, Purpose Coffee, Dave's Diner, Pewter Spoon, Caz Bagel and more! Then, starting at 10am gather the whole family for the kids' scavenger hunt around town. Get your clue sheet online (www.cazenovialife.com/summerfest-scavenger-hunt-2024) and at Carriage Barn Books. Turn in completed hunts for a prize and entry into drawing with your chance to win a $250 gift card for a kid's bike! Head down to Lakeland Park from 12noon to 4pm for food trucks - we absolutely love Phokouttahere for shrimp fries and bahn mi sandwiches! There will also be live music from Soul Injection along with yard games and more! Looking to get on the water? Morse Kayak Rental will be on-site for kayak and paddleboard rentals, so that music can be enjoyed from the water!

Looking for something for the kids? Summit Church will be providing a huge tent filled with games, cotton candy, snow cones, prizes to win, and music provided by their own youth band. Kids can also visit the petting zoo with cows, bunnies, and more sponsored by Cazenovia Jewelry.

From 1pm-4pm there will be horse drawn trailer rides through the village provided by Lamplit Farms. There will also be balloon artists in town along with karate demonstrations by Miori Martial Arts.

After all the fun, be sure to enjoy a leisurely dinner at The Brewster Inn. As long as Mother Nature cooperates, we have a stunning outdoor patio with great options for alfresco dining. Reservations go quickly, so be sure to book your table on resy.com or by calling 315.655.9232

Sunday, August 4th:

Start your morning with calm and serenity with a 1-hour yoga session on the docks at The Brewster Inn at 9:30. RSVP’s encouraged.  Then bring the kids for “Chalk the Walk” in Caz Village util 4pm between By Kelly and Carriage Barn Books. Chalk provided! Tag your masterpieces on social media to be shared by the Caz Life team! Starting at 12noon we will also be offering Kayak and stand up paddle board rentals from Morse Kayak Rentals at Lakeland Park.
