Stay With Us - Room #14

This room is in our main house on the third floor. It features a king bedroom, stand up shower, a small adjacent room with a single bed (perfect for traveling with kids) and view of picturesque Cazenovia Lake and the sprawling back lawn.

In the early 1900's this room would have been part of the children's quarters. On June 9, 1863, Brewster married Elmina Hersey Dows and together they had seven children. During the summer months, the children, along with their friends would take over the third floor of the Main House.

The servants quarters would have extended to room #10 in case the children needed anything. Long since removed, the original dumbwaiter would have gone up and down to deliver small goods from the kitchen to the second floor in case the family required anything. The location of this room would have allowed servants to cater to both Brewster and his wife on the second floor and the children on the third floor.

All rooms come with Beekman 1802 amenities including shampoo, conditioner, body gel, lotion, make-up removing wipes & soap. Each room is also equipped with an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, cable television, alarm clock, telephone and complimentary wifi internet. Beverages including coffee, tea, and water are available 24 hours per day.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable. Upon your arrival we can arrange for a bottle of wine or champagne to be in the room. Light bites including chocolate covered strawberries and cheese boards are available as well. We also can provide Brewster Inn momentos including branded coffee mugs and wine glasses.
