Wine Spectator Reveals 2020 Restaurant Award Winners

Updated: Jul 5, 2020

"No doubt about it: 2020 has been a challenging year for restaurants. But amid the shutdowns and the strictly regulated reopenings have come inspiring stories, as an entire industry came together to support its members and the communities they serve.

Through the economic crisis triggered by the coronavirus pandemic, wine has continued to be a source of pleasure for diners and of profit for restaurants. The Wine Spectator team is pleased to recognize the achievements of nearly 3,800 restaurants, hailing from all 50 states and 80 countries and territories, that have demonstrated the passion and devoted the resources to create outstanding wine programs. The awards are given across three categories: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence and Grand Award."

The Brewster Inn has been fortunate enough to receive the coveted two glass award since 2009, and the one glass award since 1992.

Wine has always been a passion of ours which has developed over the years into a robust wine portfolio. Any time a guest dines with us, we encourage them to take a private tour of our wine cellar so that we can show them first-hand how excited we are to bring such an extensive collection of wine to Central New York.

Sitting on $250,000 in inventory, our cellar boasts 14,000 bottles and over 600 selections. We have over 3 times more bottles in our cellar than the next closest restaurant in our category. Prices range from $24 to $1,000 per bottle.

We are honored to be recognized with other great restaurants within a vibrant and passionate culinary community. We are delighted to see other restaurateurs pushing their wine programs forward even during a time of great unknown. For the full list of other CNY restaurants, click here.
