At The Brewster Inn, the safety and well-being of our customers has always been of paramount importance. As more information becomes available regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) we are taking additional precautions to ensure the safety of all our employees and guests.
Over the last 30+ years, we have held ourselves to the highest standards of cleanliness. We have a rigorous daily routine of cleaning and sanitation to ensure a healthy environment for all. In these uncertain times we have been even more vigilant in our sanitation practices as an extra precaution.
We have removed all shared food items including bar nuts and dinner mints. We have placed disinfectant wipes in all common spaces including the lobby, inn, and bar. All tabletops, menus, chairs, and guests check presenters are wiped down with disinfectant spray multiple times through-out the night. We are very conscious of shared items including pens, phones, keys, etc. Those items are sanitized frequently during the day between shifts.
Our staff has been informed on the severity of this issue, and we are taking every reasonable preventative measure possible.
In speaking with Madison & Onondaga health officials, we are instructing our team to:
Stay home if they are not feeling well
Cover their mouth if they sneeze or cough
Wash their hands (frequently!)
Avoid touching their mouth or their eyes
Disinfect surfaces and objects throughout their shift
Please know that we are willing to take any and all precautions to ensure the safety of our guests. Our patrons are like family, and we want nothing more than to protect their wellbeing and safety. We are dedicated to maintaining our highest level of cleanliness at any cost.
Despite the current situation, we hope this can help ease some worry. We are delighted to see that many others within our industry are taking this threat seriously as well, and stepping up their daily cleaning routine. Together, with the support of our guests and employees, we feel confident that can work through this pandemic.
